Get to know the tourist sites in Peru that charge you with positive energy, giving you a feeling of peace and relaxation.

How do energy points work?

According to parapsychology, Chakras are strategic points of our bodies through which energy flows. This theory also holds that, blocked energy can produce the pain in our body and mind. That is why it is important to receive positive energy.

Mother Earth and her energy points

Mother Earth also has its own energy points. These are like veins which, as they cross each other, form points of concentrated energy.

Correspondingly, these points host pyramids, temples and sacred monuments of the world. Somehow, it shows that ancient civilizations understood this notion very well.

Such places are known for transmitting a good energy that invigorates a person and generates renewing sensations. A spiritual healing!

Peru and its energy centers

Peru has several tourist sites that transmit positive energy, most of which are sacred places of the Inca culture. They are also said to be epicenters of very powerful “energy vortices”.

Below are some of the Peruvian energy centers.

Machu Picchu in Cusco

Machu Picchu is in Cusco, specifically in the Eastern Mountain Range of southern Peru, above the Valle Sagrado de los Incas (Sacred Valley of the Incas).

It’s an old settlement built before the fifteenth century, which is in a mountain range at 2,430 meters above sea level.

This Inca citadel was the shelter of the Virgins of the Sun, ordered to be build by Pachacútec. It was a place of royal recreation for the Inca and a sacred ceremonial center, where they performed rituals to Mother Nature: Sun, Water, Moon, Earth, etc.

On the other hand, it is an axis of cosmological convergence, since its vertexes are oriented with the 4 cardinal points. Machu Picchu is also considered a masterpiece of architecture and engineering, for what it is one of the wonders of the world. It is also recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is currently the “World’s Leading Tourist Destination 2019”.

It is undoubtedly a place that conveys both spirituality and a special energy.

Additional information: The Inti Raymi (Sun Festival) is celebrated every 24th of June. It’s an Inca ceremony of thanksgiving to the sun god.

Lago Titicaca (Lake Titicaca) in Puno

Lago Titicaca is officially the highest navigable lake in the world, which is located in the Andean Mountains at about 3812 meters above sea level.  It is located between the countries of Peru and Bolivia, with a total area of 8562 km² and 281 m depth.

Lago Titicaca hosts a number of natural and artificial islands, which are considered sacred. It is inhabited by many native communities that over the years still preserve their ancestral traditions.

Legend has it that the sun god sent Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo to found the Inca empire.  They came out of Lago Titicaca and their mission was to impart knowledge to all the people. So the years passed and they formed families. His descendants inherited the empire, of which the most important was Pachacutec, to whom the construction of Machu Picchu is attributed.

Therefore, Lago Titicaca, with its amazing beauty and energy, is considered the cradle of the Inca Empire. The contact with its waters, the sun and the wind awaken very good energies.

Chavín de Huántar

The Peruvian highlands is one of the regions with the most energy centers, where you can comfortably relax.

This is how Ancash is a privileged place where the ancestors decided to build sacred archaeological sites. One of the most outstanding is Chavín de Huántar, a pre-Incan Andean pilgrimage and religious cult center (1200 B.C.). It is located at 3,140 meters above sea level in the province of Huari, a place full of valleys and rich soils.

Inside this fabulous temple there are galleries and rooms; its structure is similar to the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem.

Chavín de Huántar is a place of blue sky, large fields and magical-religious soils; there you will find huge mountains that will take you to a wonderful world generating a sensation of freedom.

In this place you will appreciate several monuments, among them: the Black and White Staircase, the Cabezas Clavas (stone heads), the Lanzón monolítico monolithic Lanzón), among others.
