It was said that long ago, a man was walking a lonely trail at midnight with a lamb by his side. 🌙🐑 Suddenly, he heard a strange and eerie sound — the haunting call of the Aya Uma, a mystical spirit from Andean folklore.
From the darkness, a woman’s head appeared — long, flowing hair, eyes full of ancient power — and with a terrifying leap, it latched onto the man’s neck. 😱🌀 He pleaded with the spirit to release him, but it held on tightly.
Thinking quickly, the man offered the Aya Uma a tempting reward: some beautiful apples from a nearby tree. 🍎🌳 He told the spirit, “Let me climb the tree and I’ll give them to you.” The Aya Uma agreed.
With his lamb in his arms, the man climbed high into the tree. Once safe, he shouted,
“Since I’m free from you… I’m running away!”
He dropped the lamb, which leapt to the ground and ran in fear. Mistaking the lamb for the man, the Aya Uma chased after it, leaving the man free to escape into the night. 🌌🕊️
