If you visit the imperial city of Cusco you can’t miss the amazing Paukartampu at Kusikay theater, this show recreates an imaginary trip in which a tourist, a couple of bakers and a lush perform scenes full of passion and discovery of Andean roots, where Inca and Spanish elements are mixed.

Each character in the play will take us to the celebration in honor of Mamacha Carmen, entering the heart of the land with their experiences.

On top of the dances we will discover the encounter of two cultures and the religious syncretism between the Andean and the Spaniard, the fusion of two worlds that has resulted on a Peru of mixed races, rich in traditions. KUSIKAY put music to the play and makes it rich with original pieces and traditional themes, merging ancient and modern instruments.
