The Peruvian government declared the rally Dakar of national interest. The racing competition will start in Lima, 2018 and go across Bolivia and Argentina. The promotion commission of the 2018 Dakar, that will have four members, will be presided by the Tourism and Trade Minister, and according to the supreme resolution of the Presidency of the Ministers Council “it is necessary to dictate measures that allow public entities to get actively involved for the preparation and delivery of this event, that will allow the promotion of Peru’s image, and itds cultural and tourist attractions abroad”.
